Personal History Timeline

Author:
Bret H. Smith, Auburn University

This section of the website provides space for designers to construct a personal timeline. The personal timeline consists of images and words associated with important events and significant designs and experiences throughout a designer’s career. It is helpful if you start with your date of birth and the city in which you were born.

To create a personal timeline you must be a registered user for the industrial design history website. Once you are a registered member, click the contribute tab, then select personal history timelines as the content type. Next, upload images of designs, places and events that are significant to you, please include the date and a description of the event. The description can be as long as necessary to tell the story. In order to view your personal timeline, you need to email Bret Smith (smithbh@auburn.edu) to let him know that he needs to create a timeline page for you.
